Girls Basketball Scrimmages

Does anyone know how the scrimmages at PV went today?

castlewood won 1 and lost 1. kelly won 2. gate city won 1 and lost 1. p.v dropped 2 i think. lee high won 1 and lost won. burton won 2. twin springs dropped 2. rye cove won 1 and lost 1 i believe.

Don't know about all of them but the ones I remember were:

GC over PV
Castlewood over GC
Kelly over Castlewood
Kelly over Twin Springs
Lee over Rye Cove
Burton over Lee
Burton over TS

I didn't stay for the rest......

Burton looked like the team to beat.

why does everyone think powell valley sucks haha.

its the same team as last year with the loss of Brette Harding.
Every home game but maybe one was won that's beating norton and wise but losing to clintwood by only one point!

PV beat Rye Cove by 12 in the night cap. Schoolcraft girl has improved from last season, think she scored like 15 points in three quarters against Rye Cove. PV will need her to play big against JIB and JJ Kelly. BTW, just go ahead and give the Miller girl from JIB the POY award I'm not a big girls basketball fan but in two years I'll gladly pay 5 bux to watch her as a senior square off against the two twins from JJ Kelly who at that point will be juniors.

The raiders have only one senior. There were alot of freshmen that played tonight also.

Is Lee High really ranked #1 in girls BB?

Guess it really depends on which paper you read. The Kingsport had them as #1 but not sure what the Bristol Paper ranked them. The Kpt. Paper did not include Black Diamond teams.

Lee should be good this year as well as Burton. They played each other tough last year. And I am not sure that Burton lost any one.
